Phrasal Verbs

The transcendent beauty in realizing, “This too shall pass” — Zen ...
Hello again!

How are you feeling today? I hope you are enjoying your time at home with your parents and siblings. What? Did I hear you say you're bored? Oh come on, it's not like you always get to spend time like this with your family members. I know you miss school, your friends especially. Hang in there okay. This will soon pass.

Let's do some activities today. A simple one. I want you to watch the video on Phrasal Verbs.

Before you watch the video, what are Phrasal Verbs?

Phrasal Verbs are idiomatic phrases consisting of a verb and another element, typically either an adverb, as in break down, or a preposition, for example see to, or a combination of both, such as look down on.

You will understand better after watching this video.
So now boys and girls, sit back and enjoy the video! By the way, sit back is a phrasal verb. 😄

Now that you have watched the video on Phrasal Verbs with 50 examples given, I want you to look at your ENGLISH CLOSE UP TEXTBOOK and turn to page 50. Wow! 50 seems to be our lucky number today. 50 examples of phrasal verbs, page 50 in your textbook...aaahh don't worry, I am not giving you 50 written exercises for you today, if that's what you're thinking. 😂

I only want you to complete Exercise A, B and C. Copy down the sentences and fill in the missing gaps in your English Exercise Book A.

There you go. Didn't I tell you it's going to be easy? So, you're done for today. Keep up the good work. Go and play some board games; monopoly, scrabble or UNO with your siblings. Stay tune for more next week with Teacher Atikah! Till then, stay safe and stay healthy, peeps!!
